I have a chance at getting some Infinity 5752cf speakers cheap. My question is since it is only the speakers I would be getting, do they require any kind of wiring adapter or do they hook up to factory wiring? Also do you have to make an adapter plate to fit them?

i have those same speakers. you dont need any wiring or anything, the retail boxes come with plates that will bolt into the standard space in the doors. the rear speakers will be a tight fit cause they are deeper, but they go in fine. as for the wiring, i had to just cut the harness from the wires that would normally fit into the stock speakers and then just tapped them into the speakers. id post a pic of how theyre installed, but my trucks in the shop right now

By the way...

By the way, where are you getting them for cheap? You think you could hook me up w/ a 2nd set( that aren't busted:p )?

I have those same speakers, they are great in quality!!! I got rid of the X a while ago and got a Taurus (yeah, I know......) and they have a rear deck underneath the glass where the speakers go. Well, after having them in there for about 3 months, I went to pull them out and found on one of them, the white part of the cone had all sorts of cracks and breaks in it. My guess it was from all the sun exposure and heat, but the other one in the back was fine?!?!? Anyway, yeah, they are great speakers, keep them out of the sun, (for the X, it's no prob) and I got mine off ebay for about $45 a pair.

lol i wish i knew about the wiring adapter for them earlier, would have saved some time. but the speakers are awsome, they blow away the stock ones, and with my subs in the back everything sounds very good.

Got four for $37.00 off e-bay. One pair doesn't have the plates but I will have 2 with the one set to use as a template. Also I will have to provide screws which shouldn't be a big problem. Hey, for under $40 you can't complain.
