I just want to remove the body a few inches above the frame, and, if necessary, perhaps not even all at once. Just enough to get the grinder to some of the frame and repaint it. So what do I need to remove/loosen in order to lift the body a couple of inches? I figure I must remove the body mount bushings and the ground cables and some of the wiring harnesses that are clipped to the frame. Will the steering wheel joints and fuel tank filler lines stretch or anything to accommodate lifting the rear up a bit or the front up a bit? I've got almost all of the trim, bumpers, grill, lights removed so much of it is all exposed and easy to get to, somewhat.
Thanks guys

ETA: This is regarding my 93 Explorer, not the 03 in my info

Should lift 3-4" without any trouble. ..anymore and you going to run into problems or alot more work

So if I just remove the ground cables and the mounts I can lift it that much? Sounds good. Just didn't want to damage the steering column or anything like that

Honestly you shouldn't need to remove anything to go a couple inches..just think, people do body lifts all the time.when I did mine Im I jacked it up over 4" to get the blocks in and didnt have to remove anything
