Not really worth it to just go from 3.73s to 4.10s. Regearing is expensive and you can probably get good performance gains from intake, exhaust, and a chip for the same money. Especially if you have AWD, you're looking at least $1000 to regear.

well i already have intake chip exhaust... the only reason i was thinking about regearging was my friend is selling his ranger w/ 4.10's in it... we were going to just trade the around... will a 2001 ranger edge gears fit my 2000 expo?? thanks for the help

It depends on what axles he has, which depends on which motor he has. Also, are you 2WD or AWD?

Labor alone per axle of a gear swap is $200-350, and it is not your everyday weekend project.

i am only 2wd and he is 2wd... he has the 4.0 engine w/ and automatic... if there is any difference i have the towing package... thanks for the help

Yes the gears will fit your truck.
