Question about Rear Axle Shaft

I jacked up the rear end today to check the bearings. The bearing seem ok, i think, BUT the wheel slides in and out. Almost like the axle shaft isn't connected properly in the diff.

What am I looking at now? Repairs?

That play is normal. The axle shafts are held in place by a C-clip inside the differential and there is always some play. As long as you can't pull the axle shaft out don't worry about it.

Yes, the above post is correct, i just did a 3.27 to 3.73 axle housing swap on my ex and had to pull the axle shafts out, put them back in and noticed there was a little play, concerned me at first, but it's normal, slapped new seals in, bolted everything up and everything rides fine.
