Question about vibration when turning wheel

hey Guys! I am a newbie and just got a 1998 Explorer 4.0 XLT 4x2 that has 112k miles. The vehicle starts and runs out great but when you turn the stewering wheel to the right or left when you are sitting still it causes the steering wheel to shudder? Does anyone have any idea what might cause this? Thanks Larry lstill@aol.com

Air bubbles in the power steering system. It needs to be bled out. Try turning the steering wheel (all the way) from left to right and back again a bunch of times. A lot of times this will help it out.

If not than search in the 95-01 sub-forum on how to bleed the system fluids.

Welcome to this forum! Did you check the power steering fluid level? It might be a little low. The air in the front tires might be low as well.
