OK, I have 97 Explorer, it use's a different 3" body lift kit then yours does.... But I lost my instructions. So yesterday I Called Pa and asked them to fax me new ones.... and I also got an extra piece of paper!

Steering bind fix for Ford Ranger and Explorer.

1. Locate the mounting flange for the steering column under the dash.

2. Unbolt the flange from the firewall.

3. Drill out the holes in the flange toward the top as far as possible.

4. Pull the steering column down as far as possible.

5. Reinstall the bolts and tighten.

(there were NO photos with this Fix)

Its does list the kits that are effected:
742, 743, 752, 753, 792, 793,
812, 813, 832, 833, 853, 883

Thank for the reply
I didn't get that sheet in the box and looking at the tip
page they say nothing about
But thanks again

I did have to cut the frame a little on mine for the rear brackets. I had to cut a 'U' shape out for the bolt heads to fit.

The funny thing, is I used the front bumper brackets from the 853 kit for my rear bumper, yeah I had to cut and drill them but it was easier then flattening the "rear bumper brackets".....
