So my fiance and I went to Walmart today, took the dogs with us as usual, and the pup (Dixie) chewed on my shifter!!! (auto) popped off the O/D button holder circle thing. So now I need to replace it I don't like my vehicles looking like crap, does anyone have any tips on removing the shifter and shift cable and all that stuff? I've never done it, the Haynes manual said I have to pop some rod out or something? I need any tips on doing this, and Does any shifter from 95-01 work on the column? (I didn't think the steering columns ever changed but never know). Grrr....Really ticked off at her right now, time to get a cage splitter for the rear.
