I dont know how I did not notice this before, but last weekend I bent my rear bumper and hitch. It is tilted up at the back. I either did it coming down on my hitch very hard entering a creek, or when I got yanked out of the mud with a chain from my rear tow hitch.

Question is, can this be fixed my readjusting the bumper and hitch bolts? (are the holes they go into oblong so you can move the bolts?) Thanks for the help in advance. I will take a look under there as soon as it stops raining.

by hitch, do you mean the factory towball step? or do you have an aftermarket hitch installed? if its just the bumper, you can probably adjust it... i know the fronts actually have a lot of movement for adjustment... i assume the rears do also...... if yuo actually have a reciever hitch, and it is bent as well as the bumper, then you probably bent your frame, and that may or not be able to be corrected.... a body shop thatwill pull frames can do that if that is the case....

Well, I really hope I did not bend my frame. It drives fine, and I think it would take more than what I did to bend it.

Any other opinions on this?

Yeah, there is a good bit of play and adjustment on the rear bumper.
Depending on how bad you mashed it you might very well be just fine.
Good luck

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry for posting in the wrong area.
