Practice what you are going to say to the cop and judge when y ou get a speeding ticket. Otherwise they are fun cars to drive. I have a 96 with a six cylinder. If you use to an explorer then you are in for a treat when you switch to the mustang.

throw the heads in the trash and rob a set off a 99-up. ;)

PI truck heads ;)

I have had a few and havent had any problems with them. The only advise I can give is to check the car for any modifications, alot of times if its modded it has been ran the crap out of.

Go for a SN95, I think the 5.0 is better than the 4.6

I agree with this 100% for a GT.

The 5.0 is easier and cheaper to work on. I agree with the point on mods as well - be careful. I have a '94 that I love - I have replaced the heads with ported and polished E7's (stock heads) that flow as good as GT40's. This with a bunch of other stuff (including a new computer) have me at about 270rwhp. The local guru swears with a SC and a good tune I will clear 400rwhp. This being said, I am selling my car because I need a truck again (and the wife won't let me have the toy). I'm not saying this to get you to look at my car, but I did a ton of research on both engines and for me, the 5.0 was the way to go.

Regards,

Jon

welp right now im looking at a 99 cobra its a nice clean car 1st owner low miles.. im going to be taking out a bank loan and most banks wont give a loan for a car older then a 96 so a 5.0 is out =\ im not set on the cobra yet.. still looking..

My 1998 GT is for sale. I doubt you'd be interested since you're in NY and the car is in Joplin, MO. It has a few mods and in really nice shape. You can see some pics of it on my Yahoo Photos page (link in sig). I'm asking $11K.
