I am looking into replacing my leaf springs while I am replacing my Shocks....gonna go with the RS9000x. I am going to get a set of springs from a junkyard.

So my questions are....

Is it smart to redo the bushings on the leafs?
I had a friend who is a mechanic tell me that I should probably get an extra set of U bolts for each rear spring.....in case they dont work.....or we have to torch them off.....what about new bolts??

Ok, maybe I am just getting a little over prepared but I dont wanna have to call for parts right in the middle of replacing everything.....

Thanks......

I'd go with Energy Suspension Bushings in the springs, and new U-Bolts aren't a bad idea, but you probably won't need 'em. They are fairly inexpensive. If you plan on using your old U-Bolts over, spray 'em with penetrant an hour before you take 'em out. Use something like PB Blaster. That way you can be pretty sure you won't bust 'em taking them out.

Yeup, I used Prothane or Energy Suspensions (can't remember which) and resued the stock U-bolts.
