questions and answers- sport trac info for beginers

ok so im just wondering what would be the cheapest way to lift ur sport trac. i am still in highschool and dont have much money but in maine it can get hard to get around when it gets muddy and when it snows alot so just trying to lift my truck enough to put bigger tires on. any advise

A 4x4 I hope. You can get 1.5" of free lift in the front by cranking the torsion bars. Too far and you'll waste axles. Rear shackles will get you a couple inches. Higher profile tires will get you a bit more. That's about all you get for cheap.............

ok. i was looking at an adjustable rear shackle and its like 15 bucks at auto zone and thats pretty cool. my tires gotta be changed soon anyways so the next question is what brand of tires u think would be the cheapest yet affective in snow

I'm looking at the kuhmo kl71 m/t 265/75r I thinks that's the largest on stock rims (from the searches I did online) they have great reviews and u can find them for $660 shipped
