My Brakes are pretty much shot, I'm not real good at technical car repairs, so I figured you fellas could be of assistance. Anyhow, I'll try and describe my problem, I'm sure it's nothing too difficult for you guys to solve.

The brake light in my 95 Explorer XLT would light up about every few weeks, I would of course check the fluid, it would be low and I would obviously refill it. Well about two days after a routine fill, the light came back on. I attempted to give the car more brake fluid, but just hours later it was gone yet again and my car was no longer holding brake fluid. Thus my brakes have worn down on a day to day basis, almost completely gone as I have yet to put time aside for the repair. What's this situation sound like? The brakeline, or something aside from that? What's a rough estimate on it's repair cost?

Thanks guys.

You need to first determine where you are losing the brake fluid. It could be losing it anywhere between the master cylinder and any of the wheels. Most likely, it's one of the flex lines going to one of the calipers. If you are not comfortable with doing these types of repairs, I suggest you take it to a shop. What you are describing can be very serious if you run the system completely dry and which point you may not have any braking capabilities.

Agreed, I would def. have that looked at asap. It may be a slow leak right now but if that lines goes you could lose all brakes, very not cool. Check the flex lines to start out.
