How is the word being used? I assume you don't literally mean lunchbox. Like the box or bag that you take food to work in, for your lunch.

"Lunchbox" refers to a locker which drops into your existing carrier without any modification.

is the lunchbox the stuff inside or the outside too?

does the whole thing bolt on, and called lunchbox?

or do you pull out the stuff inside, and put new stuff in, but keep the big case?

Consider the differential carrier as the "lunchbox". The "lunchbox locker" drops into the lunchbox and replaces the existing spider and side gears.

The locker (in this case an Aussie) is in the center of the 2nd picture I posted above... which you should notice isn't in the previous picture. That's where the spider gears would normally be.

If you want to see exactly what's replaced, go to http://www.rockmodified.com/offroad/Tech/aussie/aussie1.htm. They show the gears in and out of the carrier.

AHA! I get it now :)

Thank you so much for the education.
