i own a 01 explorer and you know how the suspension is... really rocky you hit a bump an the whole cars rockin. also when your turnin say goin about 30 hit a bump and the tires kinda like search the road like the stearing wheel jerks really bad which is probably the ball joints cause im gettin them replaced but would new shocks or struts improve this alot or would it just help out alittle bit.. is it worth gettin them basically..

shocks help ride quality a lot - how many miles are on the truck?

yes. Worn out shocks wont dampen the impact, hence the wheels will bounce up and down, and the rear is even worse with worn shocks. I currently have a blown shock in the rear and front. I hit a bump...lordy hold on. Advise would be replace the shocks.

i think it would be time to replace em.

i just replaced mine after 82k....tremendous improvement. there is still the initial jolt from large bumps and potholes, but thats just the explorer. as far as bouncing, it is GREATLY reduced, as is rocking sideways in turns. go for it, its well worth it
