Im saying that the total for all 4 tires with mounting and balancing and road hazard came out to be only 20.00 more than the pro comps at 4WP

damn, i wish i had known that before i got locked into the pro comps, because i would have rather had the bfg's for sure

so you go to ucf? i live right down the street! thats crazy, we should go wheelin sometime

Hiridin is well.. high. I have the procomp m/t and itsa good tire. Doug also runs them, and hasnt had any problems to my knowledge. You did pay a lot for them though.. mine were 131$ a piece during a buy three get one free, and that was with the warranty, mounted and balanced. They were going to charge me more, but I told them bullshit, and showed them the previous price in ORA.

well, not much i can do about it now......

got them on today though, and man what a difference! these things ride like glass compared to my old uniroyal M/T's!! a lot smoother....

I'm gonna be headed up to jacksonville on sunday for some muddin', we'll see how they do. todd.

edit: oh yeah.... THEY LOOK SICK!!!! i like them better than the BFG's.

i was just stating my honest OPINION... i personally don't like them. nor do i know anyone happy with them (and i'm not talking about on road)... and i'm not talking about people on this site as most seem to be happy with them but i'm talkign about people i personaly know. and i myself would very much have wanted to know that they don't clean out as good as this tire or that tire... if i was thinking about buying them. i myself would have gotten something else. and as i stated before i'm more into offroad performance or mud performance... thats what i have easy access to. that was my priority. i was letting him know about that aspect... i never denied onroad performance. and i'm not saying u can't go through mud with them. u could jus go through that much more with a better (mud) tire. its good ya'll love them. u spend that much $$$ on something u might as well get something u like. to each there own. i was jus trying to be helpfull.

well, i just got back from jacksonville, and to be honest, i'm a little dissapointed with their performance.

i'm thinking about calling 4wp and asking if i can return them, because they have 30 day money back.

they didn't clean out to well at all, but instead, were caked with mud. not to mention i got stuck (which also was a little fault of my own). how much more $ you think it is to upgrade to the BFG MTs?

Hiridin, which tires WOULD you recommend? thanks, todd.

i would reccomend the bfg mt's. unless u want a swamper tire... u could go with a 33" tsl radial for a radial with the best mud performance. but anyways u sacrifice ride qaulity and gas mileage and tire mileage... so aside from that i would say bfg mt's. i know the xterrains i had weren't "mud terrains" but the difference between the 2 was sooo incredibly drastic i almost couldn't believe it. in other words i can only imagine how amzing a swamper would be in the mud. i say bfg mt's for mileage and performance. call all kinds of places and find yer best deal for mounted and balanced and all... then tell it to your 4wheelparts place and exchange the tires for the bfg's. pricewise... ummm.. at $158 a tire (4wp list price) with $60 for mounting and balancing plus tax is $749. go for that and see if any place will beat it. call anywheres and everywheres... then get 4wp to match yer best price. unless what they have is the best price. discount tire should be able to beat it... its an extra hundred bucks but its for something that can make the difference between u getting stuck which isn't too much fun... or being able to enjoy the time u go out to play.

i'm gonna try doing that, and see what i come up with. honestly, it shouldn't be too much more, cause i paid $181 a tire for the pro-comps (they jack em up when they do buy 3 get one), so if i can find the bfg's cheap, i might only pay like $50 more.

i'll keep you posted what i come up with, and if you see any deals on bfg mt's PLEASE let me know! thanks, todd.

with the bit of searching i did... if u can get them mounted and balanced with tax included $749 which is what i said 4wheelparts would be... which is what u should be able to get them for... discount tire came out to $749 including tax. that includes mounting and balancing and limetime balance and warranty and blah blah blah. u might be able to beat that but most likely thats what its going to be. unless u find a place that has them on sale. so u tell them discount can do it for that much with all the bells and whistles so 4wheelparts then has to beat that price... so far thats the best i could find. so a lil better than $749...

well, i just called 4wheelparts, and it looks like they're not gonna let me return these tires.

the guy told me they can't take them back once they've been driven on. sucks for me i guess, now i'm stuck with these. would have definately preferred the BFG's. doubt there's anything i can do now.

they don't even have the slightest wobble to them...? like out of balance or something maybe a hint of a shimmy in the wheel? without something like that i guess yer stuck with them. what was the 30 day gaurantee for? well the way i see it u have a couple options, 1. u could sell them, they are brand new tires and theres someone who will buy them. 2. add a locker in the rear... actually u should put a locker in anyways but that could help make up for the tires some. i would drive on them put them up for sale and if someone wants to buy them good i mean people on here seem to like them... im sure there are many more elsewhere otherwise make the best of it. and always remember u could've done ALOT worse.
