Hey guys, got my tires and rims and everything finally done to it. I have my old all terrains on my stock wheels and my duelers on rockcrawlers. I am about to start school and took the MT's off tonight and put on the all terrains but I got in a hurry and didn't write down which side the back ones came off of. Now people are telling me you are not supposed to switch the direction of rotation on a radial tire, meaning don't switch ones on the right with the ones on the left because it can cause them to blowout. I tried researching this and can't get good results. Please if you know anything about this share it with me, I do not want to pay even more for remounting but I will if it is the smart thing to do. Thanks.

what vehicle are the tires on? if there directional they will have an arrow on each tire showing the driection they need to go.

nothing is wrong with it...... it may cuase vibration and the like, but it isnt unsafe tio do it that way, although, the excessive vibration may cuase you to lose control and that would be unsafe.....

hey jimabena74 i know when i had a mustang the tires had the arrows do they all because i have a vibration on my radials could they be on wrong?

Now days with newer tires you don't have to worry about what direction you rotate them. Unless they are unidirectional tires which will have the arrow on them.

Thanks guys, they are not directional, bridgestone dueler mt's. Much the same as the BFG or and other street friendly MT and they are on a 97 explorer 4x4. Just wondering if what I heard was true. Calling firestone today. Anything else ya'll hear let me know. Thanks.

if you have a directional tire or an assymetrical tire, then having them mounted backwards will cuase a lot of vibration.... the point i was trying to make was that it isnt going to blow out on you b/c of that........ you will get severe vibration, that may jerk the steering wheel out of your control, excessive bumpsteer, but that is another issue and wont cuase a blowout.... I work for Bridgestone/Fiestone... well, a small subsidiary of them called Wheel Works......
