Radiator Fan Blade Always On

Hello I have a 2000 V8 5.0L Explorer I recently changed the lower pulley and starter. Since the fix my radiator fan blade turns on when I start the vehicle and never shuts off(only when I turn the vehicle off). Should the fan blade turn on when the engine starts to get hot or if the ac is turned on? Anyone know what the problem is? Do I have bad sensor somewhere?

belt driven fan. It's always running, the thermostat is in charge of allowing or stopping the antifreeze flow until normal operational temp is reached.

The fan is mechanically driven, but it has a thermostatic viscous clutch.
When engine is cold, it will be "loose" and therefore slip and pull less air. You can feel it by hand before you turn the engine on - you should be able to rotate it with some resistance (won't spin free after you stop pulling it).
When engine is hot, it will engage the clutch and pull more air.
It is similar with the VC inside the central differential on AWD Explorer.

did someone install an electric fan on your truck? If you're talking about the engine driven fan, it will always be spinning if the engine is running as stated above.

Yes, of course it does in stock form. However, even a clutch fan is always spinning if the engine is running. As the OP said the fan is ON unless the engine is turned OFF, I thought perhaps someone had installed an electric fan and that's what he was referring to.
