I was on the way to a concert when my girlfriend told me there was coolant leaking from my X. So I put water in it and filled the resevoir with coolant and it was fine until it dumped it all out again. The funny thing is the car does not run hot, or at least the thermostat isn't telling me it is. I need help before my X explodes!!!!!

WELL IF SHE COULD SEE THE COOLANT LEAKING

If she could see the coolant leaking then you should be able to determine where it is leaking from.

Could be simple, could be complicated, depends on where it is leaking from.

I'm assuming she saw it leaking under the truck, hood area, so that rules out the common heater core leak.

I would check the cocpick on the radiator, make sure it is tight. Then check the seems on the radiator side tanks, look for rust color or cracks in the plastic.

Then check the front of the engine, around the thermostat housing and waterpump. If it's leaking from the underside of the waterpump, it's time for a new one.

Of course you should do a close up check of the cooling hoses first, look for cracks or loose fittings.

Also make sure the overflow tank does not have any cracks in it or a loose hose.

If no external leaks are apparent and you are still losing coolant then it could be a cracked head, internal leak. Not likely since she could see it leaking
