Radio and Windows after ignition off

I recently traded my 97 explorer for a 03 Sport Trac XLT. I love alot of the changes, but one thing I miss is on my 97 I had the option of the radio staying on and the window still working after the truck was turned off until a door was opened. My question is if it is possible to have this same option or am I supposed to have this option on the 03 sport trac? I don't know if it's something simple like a missing fuse or not. I figured this would be the best place to start looking. Thanks

my 02 doesn't have it either. Maybe it was an option and others will chime in. I'd like to know also.

I think that was controlled in the GEM, which is different in your vehicles.

you can build a relay block and make it yourself.

Yep- my buddy did that mod a while back- only way they could figure out how to do it was with a relay block. I wish my '95 would let me keep the door open with the acc on and not chime. I miss that on my old newer vehicles. I could block the switch, but eh- I'm lazy.
