07 EB with 6cd radio. I tried using my ipod and mp3 player but my radio does not recogize it. The symptoms I get are: when I depress the AUX button to toggle through sat1,sat2,sat3,&AUX, I do not get a "Line In" display as the owner's manual says it would; in AUX it would give me a message "DVD not ready".

However good or bad the instructions are in the owner's manual, I followed them but no music from devices.

Anything I can look at? Thank you

Hi, did it used to work & stop?
do you have a factory aux input jack or aftermarket?
Is it scrolling through those messages as you hit the aux button, or is it saying no aux input?

I have an '06 with the 6 CD deck & it has the aux button but no factory line in. It needs an aftermarket module connected. I had tried to cheat it & wire an aux jack to the aux inputs but it needs a signal sent telling it that there is a module connected & it still said "No Aux Input" or something to that affect.

I ended up getting the cheapest module I could find which was intended for an ipod/phone & have it connected only to send the signal, while still having the aux jack connected to the aux inputs. The message will usually say "no ipod conected" or sometimes it will say "sat3".

If it is displaying any message besides "no aux input", then you should be able to have your line function as long as the wire connecting your device is connected to the proper pins on the stereo.

I recently bought the x from a private owner. I called him and he stated that he never used the stock aux input nobody knows if it ever worked. Wires are plugged in. There was no message of "no aux". It did display "aux" but after a few seconds a message didplay "no dvd".

I have an 07 EB with the 6cd audiophile system. I did some research on the stereo threads and the radio has to be reprogrammed. I was quoted $118 at a Ford sevice dept. I'm saving for a radio navigation system so I decided to hold off.

To play my mp3 and iPod, i bought a cheap $15 fm modulator to connect the players. Works just fine
