ok,here goes.............1989 b2 i bought this thing for $150 had a bad 2.9 (well the heads any way) was a 2wd. i had a t-case and motor(2.8) from my 85 b2 i swaped the 5 speed in my ranger. i found a set of axels to put in the ranger, so i took the d28/7.5 and put them under the B. thay have 3.73s and i welded the rear back when it was under the ranger. the swap was easy, only thing is the spring pearches on the b2 axel are wider then the ranger so my spring slant in. i have another axel just have not put it in yet. i think i have a b2 coming with a d35 in it so if i don't sas it i will put the 35 in it. started onbord air today, just have to mount my tank. it took 3 days from the time i picked it up to the time i drove on top a honda. have a 2.9 to put back in it going to put the 2.8 in a b2 based buggy. got any ??? just ask! any way heres some pics, some are good some are not.
