radio goes in and out please advise !!!

ok...this is weird my radio is on no problems and then it goes off but the time is still on then goes back on ..playing music..any thoughts ????

Take it out and disconnect/reconnect all the connections.

Some of these units are known for developing bad solder joints internally so if you check the connections like mentioned above and it still does it then I would say that you are going to have to take it out and check the solder joints internally for a bad connection.

thanks guys....are you talking about the face plate of the radio??

Yes the face plate is one of them, but upon inspection on units that have a bad faceplate you can sometimes find other bad/poor solder points.

I just meant unplug and reconnect the radio wiring harnesses. Maybe they became loose over the years.

Correct, I understood what you were saying and I am pretty sure that his question was directed at me regarding poor internal connections.
