After installing an aftermarket radio I am
getting a buzz & wine (which I know is the alternator). How do you stop the noise, tried a filter inline to the radio but that doesn't work. any suggestions??

Try checking the ground and your connections again. That noise is mostly associated with a bad ground. You might want to try and bypass the factory amp too. If your radio is too powerful for the stock amp it whines.

In addition to what Godfather is saying, I had a similar experience, but it wasn't a problem with the grounding of oy own aftermarket equipment. I had to take it into a shop, and they found, for some reason that the stock amp preferred the aftermarket head unit's ground, and so it was carrying the ground all the way back to the head unit. I don't know how this works, but that's what happened.

Also as mentioned above, try grounding the head unit somewhere else with a better connection.
