Radio reception.

I have a Mach system in my Exp. I have noticed when listening to the radio, the reception is not so perfect on some of the stations. They drift to the point where it seems like the treble gets lost & then comes back. Kinda like losing the stereo lock. I don't have this problem with all the stations, only a few. CD's play awsome.
Is there a Local/Dist switch on these units? I don't have this problem in my 2 other vehicles, so I know it is this unit. I did have the radio out for the display fix, but I made sure I inserted & fully seated the antenna connector.

As far as I know there is no local/dist setting. Alot of things effect the reception, mainly the weather/atmostphere. There are some days I pick up station that are farther away better than local station. Did the reception change from before the radio was out to after? Maybe the antenna wire was kinked during re-install. Also some radio brands just get better reception than others.
