Well, I just wandered in here and I love these boards!

Anyways, I was wondering if there are any products made to enhance the radio reception in my Explorer. I have a 98 XLT 4.0 sohc with the basic cd/tape radio unit. Speakers and everything is fine, it's just that my radio reception is weak compared to my other car.

Any product anyone can recomend would be a big help. Also, the location where I could find it would be greatly appreciated (online or offline in a store)

I have the same problem and my new aftermarket radio didnt make it any better...

Hmmmm... so its not just me.

JcWhitney has 2 am/fm Boosters!

I was told by someone they work. $10.00 for one $13.00 for the other.

I figured $10.00 I'd give it a try I should be getting it any day. I hooks in to the Antenna says it increases signal strengh 3X. I'll let you know!

boosters wont help too much until you replace the whole antenna and wire. ford trucks have a common problem with water inside the fender sitting at the base of the antenna and corroding the connections. mine is like that too, but i never listen to the radio anyway.
you could pick up a new antenna from wal-mart for $10-$30 depending on what style you want.
