2005 Explorer Sport Trac
Hey everyone, I'm new here!

Mind the probably stupid question but Google has been of little use to me here. As of last night I am the new owner of an '05 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin. It has the Pioneer "Audiophile" sound system with the amp and sub behind the seat. The radio in it has a few buttons that do not work (menu, first 3presets).

Is there a way I can reset the radio somehow by pulling a fuse? Just bugs me that I can't access the main menu, because I can't tune the radio! And of course whoever owned it before me set up the radio with waaaay too much bass and now I can't change it.

I wanted to pull the radio fuse this morning before work, but I don't know which one it is.

Wouldn't that also reset pretty much every other controller in the truck as well? I found a fuse diagram in the users manual. Looks like fuse 29 is the radio fuse so I'll pull it on my lunch and see what happens. I'll also spray a bit of electrical cleaner in the buttons to see if they're just dirty.

I believe if you just disconnect the battery it should completely reset ANY presets in the radio.

The Ford radios must have capacitors in them because I've had radios removed from the vehicle for days and have had the battery disconnected for a week, or more, and the radios did not lose their presets. The clocks did need to be reset though.

Maybe, I'm not exactly sure.
I know with my aftermarket radio in my '99 it resets every preset in the radio when I unhook the battery.

I pulled the radios fuse and it didn't change anything. However, this whole truck is a hot mess from the dealership. ECM continually resets itself of the truck is parked forore than 30 minutes. Cluster is dead and CEL is in until it magically "wakes up". So, back to the dealership we go!
