About how long can I expect to take to replace the RAB on my 91' XLT? Do I need any special tools, my Hayes manual makes it look easy enough but I hate to start something I can't finish myself. Thanks for any info you can give me.

I don't know if the statute of limitations is up on this or not, but there was a recall on Radius Arm Bushing replacement by Ford/Mazda a while ago for that particular vintage. I had mine replaced for free by the Mazda dealer. Might be worth checking into. If not, the do it yourself route is somewhat tough because you have to deal with some nasty rivets (if RAB's have never been replace before) that are a real PITA!!! I can be done by the do-it-yourselfer, but it's definately a 6-beer job...

I just replaced mine about a month ago. Using a lift, it took me about an hour and a half or so. I am including an address with this reply. This is what I used to aid me in replacing my bushings. If it has never been done before, you are in for some fun. I was lucky and the owner of the truck before me had the original bushings replaced with neoprene. Don't use neoprene. The squeaking you get from them may seem to be minor but after time it gets on your nerves.
