That's the Coil Spring Insulator. dunno how important it would be . think it might have some importance with the keeping the spring located properly.and to keep the bottom of the coil from moving around. if nothing else noise abatement.

well I do app. it I am going to order it right now...Thanks. I have one more question, IS there a diagram floating around her on how to put its Or should i say line it back up when i put it back together?

the piece fits one way into the bottom of the coil spring. then over the domed washer at the bottom.

Yea it will only fit together one way. Pretty simple to change.

Pull the shock loose of the lower mount then take the big 1-1/8" nut and washer off in the center of the spring then you can pry down on the suspension and pull the coil spring out to put it all back together right.
