I am contemplating doing 4' of lift on my 92 XLT. Would you recomend replacing the radius arms with the longer ones or are the stock onse still enough for that? just curious cuz none of the kits even mention them. I do want to do it right since I hate doing stuff twice.

I believe James Duff has a 4" kit that replaces the radius arms. You might want to search on this site to see if there's any info. Good luck!

From what I understand the stock radius arm IS NOT long enough for 4" lift. If you check out the superlift site they list 2 different kits, one replaces the stock radius arms and the other just has brackets that move them down to compensate for the length. I havent seen the listing of the new Duff 4" but the older 2.5" from them was a very complete kit.

Extended radius arms give you more articulation and a better ride, the James Duff arms can be got for either one of their lifts which are 2 1/2" and a 5 1/2" lift.
If you get a lift over 2" and does not come with extended radius arms then the kit will have radius arm drop brackets.

If you go offroading and can afford them get the extended radius arms.

I happend to have a set of james Duff radius arms for sale if you are interested.
