Rain X Latitude Wiper Blade?

My frontier uses a 24" driver and 18" passenger. I used the Lattitude and they worked great for a few weeks, but then the drivers side started streaking right in the middle. The other side was fine. I cleaned them a few times, cleaned the window and still streaked. I was disappointed because of all the good reviews, but I ended up going back to regular Rain-x blades. I need to do the Rain-x treatment because of all the rain lately. I may try these blades again later in the future to give them another chance, but their regular blades are still some of the best out there and haven't given me any problems yet.

For the last few years, I've been a Bosch wiper blade user. I started using them after I worked a position for a utility company during the summer of my freshman year of college that required a ton of off-road driving. The company-supplied vehicles all had Bosch blades. The windshields would be covered in mud several times a day and I was amazed that the blades took the abuse of clearing mud on a repeated basis with seemingly no deterioration. I had great luck with Bosch blades on my personal vehicles until recently when I put Icons on my fiance's '05 Focus. Within the first month, they started streaking. Coincidentally, I bought an '02 Focus that also came with Bosch Icons and they streaked as well. However, I'm not sure how old they were as they were already on the car when I bought it. For my recently acquired '01 Explorer, I went with Motorcraft Premium blades, but since installing them last week, it hasn't rained, lol. I'll try to remember to update once they've seen rain a few times. I also plan on running them through the winter, so hopefully they'll hold up against the ice.

On another note, I'm also an avid user of Rain-X products. I just picked up a new bottle of Rain-X "Swipe & Wipe" and a bottle of the orange Rain-X washer fluid last night.

Bosch Evolution

I was going to go pick up the RainX Latitudes today but ended up buying a single 20" Bosch Evolution frameless blade to try out on the driver's side. Weather wise worked out perfectly cause it started snowing a lot for about 10 minutes and then stopped just as suddenly! But soon as I put the blade on the whole thing started chattering, skipping and making tons of noise. I was pissed at first but I think it had more to do with my wiper arms and glass because after I switched the arms and let it run for several minutes both the old and new wipers fell dead silent. I can still see the lower tip of the Bosch blade skipping but it doesn't make any noise or miss any spots so for now I'm happy. Except now I have mismatched blades lol.

Also, I thought going 2" longer than stock would be good but I think I can bump it up to 22" on the driver's side and move the 20 incher over to the passenger side.

i used both the blades and the liquid on the windshield of my Ex, worked great for a while, but than it appeared as there was some kind of film on the windshield that kind of glared really bad at night and made seeing in the dark really hard ,
so, i washed the window really good, and used vinegar on it to remove anything that may have been on there before the Rain X treatment,, , than cleaned it up reall good, and dryed it with newspaper till spotless, than i reapplied the Rain X again,,

maybe there is something in the rain up here, but it was like a film was on the window a few weeks later , and i tried it a few times, , same thing every time,,
so i gave up, and used good old Trico wipers i got at Canadian Tire, about $5 each, and they work good, and seem to handle the ice and snow fine for me,, even in -45 ,

Yea I get this happening too but I'm not sure if it has to do with my wipers. It's especially bad during winter nights. I think in my case it might be the Rain-X anti-fog formula I coated the interior of the windshield with last winter because I can see wipe marks glaring off the windshield (which means it probably didn't work or I didn't apply it right :( ). I've been too lazy to clean it so I just put up with it til now. Maybe I'll give it a nice clean tomorrow before it gets too cold out and see if that works.

I also bought a jug of the clear Rain-X wiper fluid but havnen't tried it yet. Hopefully doesn't make things worse.

I'm using these new Rain X Latitude wipers and there performance are unbelievable! I installed the 22" version on both driver and passenger side. The driver side does overlap the edge of the seal but does not cause any issues else where.
