ranger 4Wd light

my 96 ranger 4wd light and low 4wd light up together for 6 times ON and OFF. is this code are something and the truck is not in 4wd its on 2wd. Need help is welcome thanks

My guess is, it is telling you it is not engaging.

Flashing 4x4 lights mean that there is a trouble code stored in the 4x4 Module.

i was bhaving some of the same troubles and it could be that your shift motor on the transfer case has lost its place 2wd or nuetral is a default. hope it helps..jay
