We have a remote 6 cd changer in an extended cab 1996 Ranger. This is the first time to use this unit since I purchased the truck. I installed 3 factory cds after figuring which way to turn the cds and where to put them in the slots of the magazine. You can hear the changer loading the discs and after about 5 seconds of each being loaded the head unit will display "NO CD" and then go back to playing AM/FM radio. What is the problem here ??? I know someone else has experienced this same problem. This board is Great so I know the answer is here somewhere. THANKS.:rangerred: Ford Factory system.

I'm having pretty much the same thing happen with my '97 explorer. The holder ejects from the changer fine, but when you press CD on the head unit it says "NO DJ". I never asked the guy I bought it from about it. I've not come up with a solution yet. When I saw it didn't work I ordered an Alpine head unit that's supposed to arrive any day.
I'd also like to know the cause though. Obviously the changer has power to it, it's like the head unit won't recognize it though.
