Ranger axle code?

My cousin jus bought a 2001 extended cab ranger 4wd. ive searched but havent been able to find the axle code for it. it says 97 on the door jamb sticker. anyone know what ratio that is?

appreciate that. He was wondering what gears it had. Its got 5 inches lift with some 33s under it. its nice

...Since it is modified, it may have different gears too...
