Ranger Door Chime

My brother's 1995 Ranger is having a problem with the door chime ringing while the door is closed and driving. Where could the problem lie ? Is there a sensor that tells the chime to stop ? Thanks for any help !

As far as I know, just the door switch.

to get to this do I need to take the door apart ?

Try a little WD 40 on the switch.

Is the door ajar light and the interior lights coming on at the same time??
