RAWR~!!!!!!!!!!! Trans is junk!

So i start to pull out of the parking spot, i notices all kinds of fluid.
Then no more go!!

On the passenger side there is something that resembles a Freeze plug but bigger held in with a Oring type clip.

Im 99% sure i need a COMPLETE new trans. since the casing is busted.

So.. what do i do?

Try to find new? put in old? sell the car?
Go through the Dealer or private?
is there a recall?

You should take it to a shop that deals a lot with transmissions, they should do just a rebuild on the transmission with replacing the case and anything else that might be going on.

The case is just a part like any other, it would be easy to find and not that expensive. Somewhere between 1800 and 2500 for the total job could be expected with a decent warranty.

You could always go with a good used trans but there are risks involved.
