Wow yeah those pics suck pretty bad don't they...

It's a 4 door. I'll get some better ones here ASAP, when I get a break from work.

holy sh_t !!, that looks great

when you do a writeup,if you can ?,please include a parts list !!
before I purchase the kit in the spring I need to locate a shop that will do the work,so far nobody in my area will touch it {Explorer/rollover issue :rolleyes: }
theres only the 2 shops I know of in my area ,only other place is almost 4 hours away,I once used them to install my eaton posi,all the shops wanted at least $550 to install the posi :eek: ,but 4Xheaven did it for $100. so it was worth the trip.

and for all you '95 and '96s...here is where I had to relocate the vaccume disconnection solenoids (I think thats what they are?)

They use to be located in the upper right hand corner of the photo between the air box and the core support. I moved them towards the radiator and zip tied them :D

While this wasn't a real eventfull part of the install I just kinda figured people would be asking about any issues with the vaccume disconnect front end and the RCD lift on the X.

Haha yeah exhaust is my next project, I'd like headers and full dual exahust...
The story on the clamps-My stock muffler was shot so I went up to RamChargers and bought a Flowmaster Delta 40. Well the diameter of the exhaust tubing was like a half inch smaller than that of the Flow. It was late and the exhaust was torn apart so we "made it work".

I was looking at some Superlift extended sway bar links but I don't think they will work because they are designed for 2" - 5" lift SUA. I believe I will need something a little longer?

I absolutly had no idea the RCD kit would work for our explorers or mounties. So can i pretty much buy one of these kits right now?

Basically...

You would just need to figure out how you want to do the rear...SOA or AALs

Looks like I should open a lift kit install place. :D

Looks good. When the Explorer left I was not in the best condition to see how good it looked. Seems after 12am the liquid refreshment started to flow pretty well. :chug:

LOL dude you were hilarious! Liquid refreshment, yeah the kind with a twist off top!

thats funny. So have you any idea on the cost of this kit new, or how much it is used?? Dam* it guys your gonna make me go broke haha. Let the saving money begin.

Hey 97 V8 I am no moderator but signatures are to be no more then 6 lines.....that sucker is like 20

Wow!!! Your truck looks awesome! I am definately not too sure about that body lift now. I just picked up my kit today at the freight location and when I opened up the boxes I was surprised to see how clean the kit was. It looked like the kit was not even installed on a truck before. Looks like the install is definately going to happen this weekend.

HAHA
I tried to get them to cut those old shock mounts off.

haha, there we go i changed it. anyways can anyone answer my question to how much this puppy costs?

I sure wish I could find a used one in decent shape ?
only reason I'm waiting till springtime is funds, a new kit is like $2300. and the install,about $800. more,I'm no mechanic,I can turn a wrench and get as dirty as the next guy,but my knowledge on something like this is limited.....

I did find a shop earlier today, JD's offroad in Brewster NY.
they said they would price match a kit ,they were asking $2800. :eek:
said about 10-11 hours {$800. +} at that rate it'll be more like summer :(

a used kit wojuld be sweet {HEY 37........ you done with yours yet :p }

Well an idea for a used one in mint shape would be around $1300-1400, the only problem is the used kits are hard to come across. I just got lucky I guess.
