It is okay, I think I can forgive you. If there is one person in this group that is pro-Ranger, it would be me.

So you're the lucky guy that got to put it on his ranger. Do you get to keep it? Did you have to pay for it? So tell us about it. How is it?

Yeah, I got lucky. Everything that is on there I get to keep. Keep in mind that this is pre-production, so there will be changes. Already the rear ride heght is lower. And other than taking it on a brief test drive a couple weeks ago when the wheels were put on it for the first time, I can't really tell you how it is. They have had it almost a month and I am not supposed to get it back until Wednesday. I am organizing a Mojave Road run in 2 weeks for ORR and that will be the first test of it. And I don't know what it is going to cost yet. But all the RCD guys kept gushing at the Expo at how well it rode.

Sean, you have to let us know after Wed... how it rides. In your sig. it says that this is the pre-production 5" lift... could you fit bigger tires than the 33x12.50's that you planned on? Not that you would trim to fit 35's, I just wondered how much room there is up front. It looks REAL nice man!!  And I am glad someone cool got a good deal out of all this! Do you have any initial design inputs for the engineers? You know, like honest input from the guy on the street who uses it? Let us know what it's like!!!

I think with a small amount of trimming it should be able to run 35s. There is an awful amount of room in there. Also, the only thing that I suggested and that they added was a beefy skid plate. I told the engineer on the kit that the only thing that worried me was that the differential hangs about a 1/4" lower than the new subframe, and that could be a bad combo with an aluminum diff and a guy like me that really off-roads. The engineer developed a 1/4 skid plate for my truck, and I guess the decision makers liked it so much they are going to included it in the kit (at least that was the word on Sunday).

Hey Sean

I saw the truck Saterday, VERY NICE!!! Few questions. Is that the stock int. of the fx4? I really like every thing blacked out like that, looks real nice. You need to clean the inside when you get it back it was a mess inside!!!! I also wish i could find seat covers that look like your seats. If they need an "x" to try the lift with let me know. I took some pics. of the the susp. The skidplate looked really good. Are the trailing arms in rear really needed though? It's not like she has 400 ponys in her. Anyways Great truck!!!

Thanks for the complements. Yeah, those seats, black interior and shifters are all part of the FX4 package. The traction arms/bars are an option and aren't required/ They do help limit axle wrap, though.

kool

wow... must be nice.

I would look into boxing in the bottom of the lower control arms or something. I have scraped and got hung up on them. I could sse damaging the nuts/bolt on the underside with the kit. Maybe weld instead of bolt? Looks like the shock mount bolts and sway bar. Is the swaybar link easy to take off?

Have any more pics? Looks cool but not gonna be able to afford it for a while!

wowow that life it nice i am getting as soon as it come's out any one know when it's going to come out nice truck desertspive.

There were two Rangers there, one was for RCD, the other for Bilstene <sp?>

The kit is cool, but I want to see how it handles.
