I Just picked this ARB air locker(RD-39) for a dana 35 with no C-clips up from this guy that had bought the thing from ARB and paid over $700(crazy money) but because he didnt ask any questions about lockers or how the work and then he realized his 03 jeep wrangler has c-clips in his Dana 35 and around here the say that "education it's expensive" so this locker was worhtless to him but for me it was a huge score cuz i got it for less than half of wat he paid for it :D...

here are some pics of my new toy....and even though its an old model (was replaced by (RD-120) it's still brand new in a box..... im probably going to start on it this saturday or as soon as i get the air compressor so for now im just waiting, I'll put more pics as i go along

thanks man ....... hey by the way where did u find those clear headlights u got on cuz my are beyond foggy lolol i mean the lights don't work for S$%#........

Isn't that locker for the 94 and older trucks with the TTB suspension?

I dont think so, cuz from wat the guys at ARB said that this model (RD-39) was made for the dana 35 diff w/no c-clips and 27 spline which in the case of the 2nd gen X is perfect cuz they are all half dana 35's axles...so he said that it would work just fine in my application but just to make sure not to go over 6" on a susp lift due to the fact that the CV axles would literally fall out place.....but yet you might be rite and it also may work on the other models .......even though the 1st gen X's they got dana 28's on the front and i think they migth have c-clips to hold the shafts in..... but idk im not sure

well they did... :( cuz they dont really make this model anymore, they said it was discontinued due to low sales...! (i mean nobody knew the s%^t existed ) and replaced it with the RD-102 wich is the same thing just newer .........but anyways i was almost positive that those X's came with a dana 28 but now i know they come with the dana 35 instead......thanks

The alloy-case Dana 28, with a 6 5/8-inch-diameter ring gear, came in Bronco IIs and Rangers with anything but the 4.0-liter engine. Although 4.0-liter trucks come with Dana 35s, most of the front suspension and/or drivetrain needs to be swapped to replace a 28.

What a steal! I hope you'll still reply with me being the enemy (yeah I've got a '91 cherokee). I've got that same RD-39 locker in rear diff, are you sure it's a non C-clip? I have it in my Jeep and it's a C-clip... i'm sure you've got it covered, but I really wanted to know how you got your hands on one? and what you paid? I've got to replace the cylinder cap (due to damage), but apparently they don't make that model or parts anymore and I'm scrouging for something other than ARB's warranty credit offer for a new RD 102 for $670! i don't got that kind of dough. Please help out?!?!
