real quick V8 Question

I know the V8 explorer has been around since 96. from what i have heard though is that around 97 or 98 they put different "Heads" on the 5.0. Something about Gt40 heads and Gt40p heads. Can someone clairify what year they did this and the two names of the different Cylinder head design.

1997.5 is when they swapped. GT40 VS GT40-P. Apparently the P's are worth 5 more ponies in Ford's book. But I noticed most Mustang guys prefer the GT40s. Both are excellant flowing heads and are good for up to around 350HP.
