Really Bad Gas Mileage

just wondering if anyone has experienced bad fuel mileage and replaced the 02 sensor and found the problem fixed?

my 92 is still running decent surprisingly, i used to be able to get on an average of 18 but now more around 13/14 area, i know its old, but it still runs strong, and i know 02 sensors only last a certain time.

was wondering if it would be worthwhile to just go ahead and change it.

YES. My truck has about 245,x.. miles on it, and I just put in my third set of O2 sensors (I have two). For me, poor fuel mileage has been a very reliable tell-tale sign the sensors are bad, and I never got a CEL. Before the new sets, mileage suddenly dropped to 10-13 mpg in town...after the change, back up to 15-17 in town.

well i've been absent again in my posts, anyways, good deal, i think i may go ahead a spend a little more money on the ol' girl, i've stuck quite a bit into the 4wd in the last year, mine as well spend a lil more
