Its a bad "rabs valve" sensor in the rear. I've got a '92 with the same problem. It costs about $330.00 to fix at the dealership (the sensor is about $220.00), but a few mechanic friends of mine said that the braking performance was much better without the rear abs and I agree. The rear abs doesn't help much, only the front in a slide or something like that.

Are there any known causes for this failure? What about brake fluid thats in poor shape?
Mines a 91 with 165,000 miles and I've never changed it. I've asked my mechanic about it and he doesn't think its a big deal either but I keep reading about how bad bake fluid is bad for ABS systems.
One of thr reasons that the rear antiloock light turn on is beacause the rabs valvle is litering or loosing brake fluid and i want to know if i can fix the valvle or i have to buy this valvle new and how much does it cost if it posible
