Hi

I bought the rear abs speed sensor cuase i have my (ABS) light on, and the dealaer said it was the sensor, it was to expensive from the dealear so i order it.

I get the Dlephi one that is everywhere listed as it fit to my 2002 XLS 2X4 drive, i get under the truck tock my a little to find the aprropiated position and took out the bold and bang, the Delphi sensor is bigger than the one i have in my truck even the conectors are different, the red ring on the one i have is smaller than the delphi one to.

I try to find the one i have but i havent been able to, mine is a little smaller in the part that you put into de diff, so the delphi dont fit in, could some one help me to find this sensor.

Thanks a lot.

This is what i get:

might be time to go to the stealership, . . . .i have had problems with 3rd party sensors not being correct or just plan cheap. . .i always pay the premium for OEM as there are fewer problems in the long run.

Dude, where did you get the rear abs sensor for $34? Can't seem to find it for less that $60!

got mine at napa 13.95 no issues

I just had the same issue today at O'Reilly Auto with my 2002 4x4 Explorer (I have a '92 & an '02). Their ABS111 is the same too large of a part. I had to go to AutoZone for $52 and it fit AND the ABS light is no longer on.
Replacement Tip: Lots of posts say it is a PITA to change but I haven't found any tips. I removed the spare tire, jacked up the rear end on stands (might not have had to raise it?) and went in over the axle from the back to get at the 10mm retaining bolt on top of the differential (socket worked well). I never did see the mounting area--had to go by feel. I found the wiring 'harness' was held against the metal by a plastic/nylon retainer (similar to the door panel retainer clips). With that removed, the unbolted sensor hung down so the wiring harness could be looked at. The wires DO NOT come out. Rather, the entire sensor housing slides out of the wiring harness shield.
I took pics with my cell phone camera, I would post them but I do not know how to upload them to the site. I clicked on 'insert image' but its asks for a url address. I don't know how to get them from my computer. Does it have a url?

Are you sure than all of your sensor came out and part of it is not stuck in the hole?

Open a photobucket account and load them up there. Then you can get a url

We would like to see the pictures of the ABS Speed Sensor that you're talking about. bluestream1 is right. Follow the instructions when you have a photobucket account. Then, we can see what's the problem regarding that one.
