Will pulling the fuse for the rear antilock system make the dash light go out? I assume it wouldn't because it would be the same effect as having a blown fuse and the system should recognize that. Is there any way to knock it out without pulling the bulb? Thanks.

So, you're saying that the RABS light on the dash is stuck on, right? That's the RABS computer's way of telling you that it can see some kind of problem. If you ask the computer (ground a connection on the RABS connector -- get details from a good manual) what the problem is, you might be able to fix the problem that the RABS computer is seeing and get the light to go away that way.

do the early explorers actually have ABS? I never thought my 92 did. LOL

They definitely came with Rear anti-lock breaks, and it might even have been standard equipment. I'm not sure when Ford added the option for 4 wheel ABS.

91 and 92 was rear ABS only, which I've heard nothing but complaints about. ( I pulled my fuse and bulb)

93 I believe went to 4 wheel ABS, which I haven't heard so much complaining about.

95 went to 4 wheel disc brakes with 4 wheel ABS.

( I think)
