What does it sound like when the axle bearings go bad? I have a metal on metal noise from my rear. I can hear it when coasting to a stop. Can't hear it with the window down or the radio on. But, it is definately from the rear. It does not appear to get any louder with speed and it doesn't change with acceleration.
