2010 eddie bauer explorer
so my 2010 explorer has 207,x.. miles on it. It had a noise from the rear end and I thought it was the pinion bearing. Anyway, after tearing it apart, it was only the axle bearing on the drivers side. I replaced both of them and put new seals on it. I also had to replace the driver's side axle, got part 60-2193 from oreilly's.

I put it in, bolted everything up and drove it. No leaks. I turned in my core and called it good. My wife drove it to wally-world and was backing up, heard a clunk but never told me. We drove for about 50 miles. When I went outside there was an oil spot under it. I crawled under and it looked like the shaft had pulled back out of the differential, still engaged, just not seated all the way it moved about 1/2". I pulled the rear apart and took the cover off and re-installed the shafts, it looks and feels like it cotter pin is engaging, but the shaft hits the cross-bolt (same happens when I install the passenger side one).

Unfortunately, oreilly already returned to core so I can't get it back, but the part number cross-references to the ford part.

anyone have this issue or know how I can get this fixed and back on the road??
