MY TRAC IS A 2002, AND I HEARD THAT THE 03+ CAME OUT WITH REAR DISC BRAKES, ANY IDEA IF I CAN CONVERT THE REARS TO DISC BRAKES ON MY 2002? THANKS:rangertan:
Some have converted by finding a donor vehicle ('03) and swapping the entire rear end assembly. You could possibly find one that has 4:10 gears and limited slip.
It would be a bolt-in swap but there are some items you'll have to change to go with the discs. I'm pretty certain the master cylinder is different, the rear parking brake cables, etc. There is a Ford Motorsport kit to convert yours, keeping your rear end but a donor swap is probably cheaper and easier.
