I’ve researched and read threads, but can’t find the help info I need. I can’t get the rear caliper pistons to depress. I have the ‘cube’ tool, but can’t get them to turn at all. No matter how hard I try, I can’t get them to budge.

This is both sides, so I am clearly doing something wrong. What am I missing?

@Martin Hall

I use a large C-clamp. Never fails, very easy. imp

The rear caliper need the tool that rotates the piston as you turn the handle. Do your calipers have two small holes on the piston? Here is what you need

What is it called and where do I get it?

Yes, all the auto parts stores that loan tools have them. I bought one on Amazon for $25, plenty of vehicles besides the Explorer need to have the piston rotated to compress it. Nice to have on the shelf instead of running to parts store.
