So, I am going to be replacing my driver's side hub assembly. I know I need the hub, some anti-seize, but what else? I am also doing my rear diff. because I have metal fragments in there, so I'm going to take off the cover and inspect and clean. I know I need the gear oil, friction modifier, a tube of RTV, but do I need a rear diff. gasket? Thanks!

for the hub, see the sticky: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165429
For the rear, no gasket is needed, that's what the RTV is for (use black, and let it dry a few hours before adding fluid).

I'll assume you have a limited slip because of the friction modifier, also you may want to pull the ABS sensor out and clean the metal off of it as well.
