Grade 8 Replacement for OEM Ford bolt

Dry thread locker on each bolt for trouble free installation.

  • M12-1.75 ....same metric thread size as oem bolt
  • 12 point 12mm ..same head size as oem bolt
M-12 means Metric 12mm diameter bolt, over threads
1.75 means Thread Pitch, distance between two threads, 1.75mm.

The fact that the HEAD is 12mm 12-point is not related to the bolt size and pitch.
Thanks for the info.. lol

Oh okay i got ya you can also use a wrench and the wrench trick locking them to on another to break them loose and yes the have a lock tight on them from factory.

I would replace the ring and pinion also, not just the bearings.
I'm going to pull part right now there is 3 3rd gens. Hopefully there is a carrier assembly on one of them and its in good shape.
Anyway I can tell if its good or bad?.
I do have 30days i can return it if its bad, but its labour in swapping them.lol

look for signs of heat, see what the fluid in them looks like if any, missing teeth chips ect some have a magnet some place look for excessive shavings, scrap the bottoms whatever side they are leaning too see if there is super thick nasty sludge in the bottom all that good stuff.

Pull off the covers and see what one has freshest oil

I'm going grab a whole carrier assembly from junkyard and just swap. Then work on mine. Its only 80buxks and I have 30 days I can return.
