I am replacing the U-Joints on the rear prop shaft. The 12mm bolts that secure it on flanges where super hard to take out, and now I see they have some yellow stuff on threads - probably some kind of loctite.
What's the recommended procedure - I have some blue Loctite, is that OK to use there?
Also what are the torque values?
In Haynes, flange at the TC has for the <2000 models 12-16 ft-lb but the 2001 and latter have 83 ft-lb. Mine is supposedly a 2001 (AWD), build in 2000.
Rear, for 1997 and latter 4WD models has 70-95.
To me the bolts look identical, they where all a pain to get out, so it would make sense to be all at 83.
